Benita Charles shares Singing Tips at Performing Arts School in Harlem!
Top of the world: It was so great to participate in the Career Day for the high school students at Urban Assembly School For The Performing Arts in Harlem! The students and staff was so gracious. I was so happy that I was able to answer their questions about singing, recording and songwriting. A special thanks to Paul and Martha La Pierre for recommending me for the event! It felt great to give back. Wishing the students much success!
Career Day at Urban Assembly School For The Performing Arts in Harlem: On the table I gave the students advice on life (Let The Journey Begin), My top 10 Singing Tips, I showed my video of Never Ever Give Up (which will premiere online in 2 days!!!) and postcards announcing the song. The students really loved my Top 10 Singing Tips!
Great day at The Career Day: It was so great to meet Kadijat! She's amazing! She was one of the panelists for the event.

Suki Rae releases new CD, Can't Stop Now!
I had the pleasure of working with the lovely flutist, Suki Rae on her upcoming CD project, Can't Stop Now last fall. I am one of the featured background singers and I have a solo performance of her song called Waiting for the Light to Shine on the CD.
I'm so excited to announce she is releasing her CD on at The Side Walk Cafe on Sunday, April 22nd! at 6:30 pm.

Preachermann & The Revival rock Brooklyn Bowl on March 5th!
A special thanks to the friends and fans of Preachermann and The Revival for attending our show at Brooklyn Bowl on March 5th! It was truly an epic event! The band rocked the house. The fans had a wonderful time. The food was scrumptious. You can't get any better than that.

A special thanks to all my wonderful fans who attended the Never Ever Give Up Video/Single Release party at the Double Wide Bar & Southern Kitchen in NYC on Feb 28!
It was such a magical evening and so wonderful to share the milestone of the release of my first music video in a room full of my fans, friends and family! I'm so honored and blessed to have that much love in the room!!
Another milestone I was celebrating was the release of my first book! I have a workbook that compliments the single, Never Ever Give Up. In the workbook, I tell my story and help the reader to discover their talent, give them a blue print to pursue their dreams. It such a great feeling of accomplishment!
The feedback I got from the attendees was all positive. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event! It was a huge success!!
